It’s been many years that Sambo the city elephant in watnom is the icon of the city.
She will normally walk along side of sisowath quay and will have few stops in some restaurant will she claimed her treats either baguette bread, or pineapple of a cold and red water melon plus a clean water. By then many both local and international tourist will flanked beside her and eager to take photos of the huge animal.
Every time I have a guest from couch surfing and triptrotting.com I always encourage them to pay a visit to Watnom and have direct interaction with Sambo.
I missed her and there’s no week passing that I don’t drop by to her and bring my treats.
With her new home I will still visit her and bring her my treats.

Sambo you’re probably not in watnom but surely you’re not forgotten and I will come and see you in your next retiring home.
